The Problem of Evil, Revisited

1. Evil exists.

2. Therefore, God doesn't exist.

3. And, given no God:

4. Therefore evil doesn't exist.

5. Assertion 1 contradicts conclusion 4.

6. Therefore contradictions do not exist.

7. Therefore Truth does not exist.

8. Therefore Atheism is True.

9. Therefore God is Evil.

10. Because Atheists say so.

About the only thing I see missing is:

11. Because Atheism is merely an absence of belief in a god or gods, nothing more, nothing less.

There might be something else in between 1. and 2., usually some variation of the Euthyphro dilemma. I love Vox Day's destruction of it in his book The Irrational Atheist. A fun read!

For an Atheist, there is no problem because evil doesn't exist for them.

Aw. What are all these comment deleted by the author posts. I want to see the rabid Atheists defend their "morality".
