In an interconnected world, couldn't she just give all her speeches via video tele-conference? Well, of course, but the self-appointed elitists believe they are entitled to a greater share of the worlds resources than the hoi polloi.

Furthermore, it would be pointless to have all that wealth and fame without deliberately rubbing it in the faces of the people you're lecturing.

Al Gore was like that, too. Thought the first thing all of us should do was go out and buy a Prius, I believe. Of course, he himself was immune to this requirement, among others.

When there's one set of rules for them, and one for us, my BS alarm goes off. When one of them tries to sell me something based on how much he says I 'deserve it', my BS alarm goes off. And when one of them tells me something financially painful is 'for my own good', my BS alarm goes off.

No one does this crap unless they're feeding their own egos as well as their own bank accounts.

Yes, Al Gore in the midst of this Global Warming popularity had constructed a 20,000 square foot mansion on Pacific Ocean beachfront property. I guess he wasn't too worried about the oceans rising, eh?
